Autumn meeting of involved people

On 12-13 November, 2015 the Second All-Ukrainian KAIZEN conference “Lean production – opening of new horizons” was held. It was dedicated to the management of companies during a downturn.

The conference was organized by KAIZEN Club in Ukraine with the support of Embassy of Japan in Ukraine and Japan International Cooperation Agency. Reports of such domestic practitioners as business owners, managers of industrial enterprises, banks, financial companies, HR-directors and specialists on quality were the whole point of the conference. Although there were representatives from a variety of fields, but all of them were united by one thing and this thing is personal involvement. Despite the difficult time of crisis, these people not only preserve their passion, but also show their tenacity and enthusiasm by means of learning, adoption of the positive experience of colleagues and being full of new ideas for business development. They understand that well and wisely created ship can withstand any storm, especially if there is a good captain and his crew is professional, well trained and united by a common purpose.

The implementation of KAIZEN philosophy that focuses on continuous improvement of all aspects of the organization is a long-term project. Daily systematic small steps for improvement of business processes, improvement of the general atmosphere that prevails among the personnel, personal growth of employees – all this actions strengthen the company every day, make it monolithic, non-sensitive to crisis that strike the society from time to time, these things are of grate interest for really concerned leaders of these organizations.

Director of Member of KAIZEN Club in Ukraine – LLC “INVEST CREDIT CAPITAL”, who also participated in the Second All-Ukrainian KAIZEN conference “Lean production – opening of new horizons”, sharing his impressions said: “It was interesting to watch how top-level leaders, despite the status of the first person in their own companies, do not hesitate to look undignified and asked lecturers a variety of questions, and transformed the theoretical part into the lively discussion where there was humor and strong emotions, disputes and discoveries. Business plays and practical cases were also perfectly organized: the heads of industrial enterprises were able to feel themselves the workers of the service sector, and vice versa. Namely enabling manufacturers of goods and services to see them through the eyes of their customers makes it possible to expand the worldview and make products more qualitative and competitive. An additional point is the awareness that you are among concerned people who genuinely want to change themselves and their country for the better, and this fact bring the hope of good future, taking into account the fact that every year the number of such concerned people increases.”
